CA and travel dates!!!

Well, we finally got our CA (consulate appointment) and will be traveling to pick up Hunter from Jan 21-Feb 6. Gotcha day will be Jan 25. We are so excited. A little bit stressed since we only got a week's notice to get our travel done and get packed and go, but we are doing it! We have all our tickets bought and travel arrangements made. They were a little more expensive, but we are glad that we did not have to wait until after Chinese New Year. Hopefully, we will get everything done and be in China soon! I have heard it is hard to get on blogger in China so I have signed up for a Shutterfly account to record our pictures and time in China. Here it is:

We got TA and USCIS approval!

We recieved TA (Travel Approval) yesterday 1/4/2010 and also recieved our updated I-171H (approval from US immigration)! We are told we should be leaving on January 21st. Gotcha day will be the 25th! We are so excited! We have been working on his nursery and trying to get everything we need together so we can go. Just a little over 2 weeks til we leave. I cannot believe it. It has been 3 yrs since we first put in our application to our agency. Our dream is coming true.

TA is on it's way!

I was told by my agency last week that TA was on it's way. It has been granted by China and we should receive the official paperwork this week! That is very good, but we are STILL waiting on USCIS to get us our new I-171H that approves us for special needs instead of a "healthy" child. Please pray that USCIS gets us our approval so we can get plane tickets and get the heck on out of here. I am ready to meet my son.

Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope everyone can remember that Jesus is what matters most on this day. My heart goes out to Mary as she knew the baby boy that was born to her on this day would someday die for the sins of the world. It had to be a bittersweet day for her.
As I sit here with my baby boy on the other side of the world from me on this Christmas Day, I dream of next Christmas when he will be running around the house with all of his new toys from Santa. I dream of him looking at me with those big brown eyes that "disappear when he smiles".
I have so much to be thankful for on this Christmas Day. It is the birthday of my Saviour and Lord. I have a beautiful daughter and tons of family that love me. I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!

Looks like we will have TA next week!

People with our LOA's (Letter of Acceptance) are getting TA (Travel Approval). Our agency closed early today for Christmas and will not be open again until Monday morning, but it looks like ours will be coming early next week! I will post as soon as we get it!

Also, we found out yesterday that Hunter had his palate surgery and is recovering well in the hospital. Hunter, mommy's is coming! I am glad he had his surgery and will be able to eat and talk better, but I do not like him being in the hospital all alone. Hopefully, we can come and comfort him soon. I cannot wait to give those chubby cheeks lots of kisses!!!!!

New Updates!

We recieved some new updates! Look how bundled up he is!!! He is in Tiayuan City, Shanxi and it is cold there! He weighs 23 lbs and is 29 inches tall. His foot is 4.33 inches, so now I can buy clothes and shoes!!! All right, I already have bought some, but they look to be the right size:) We got two new pictures of him and a baby picture that I would guess is him at about 10 months old. I also put a picture of my daughter Alexa on the bottom. She is 12 years old and is so excited about Hunter coming home soon!!!
We hope to get TA in the next couple of weeks and leave at the middle to end of January.

We received LOA and and updated pictures on Wednesday (December 3). He is in the Shanxi province in foster care. His lip has been repaired since the last pictures that we have. The update also states that he is very healthy. We are so excited! We hope to travel next month. I cannot believe that we waited this long to switch to the SN program, but I am glad we did because we were able to get OUR baby!
